Some mischievous imp has gone back to the 60s, found some innocent unsuspecting girl group, and rigged their guitars to sound like the Buzzcocks on steroids. On the same Elefant label as the legendary Primitives. That figures!
Fantastic layered female vocals float above an energetic garage pop/rock base of sharply dynamic guitars, bass and drums. Wild Balbina produce a very enjoyable sound with plenty of character, spirit and style.
Favorite track: Winter Trees.
Excellent Dream-Pop with heavenly female vocals. If you like the Primitives and thePastels...give this a whirl. Definitely more on the power-pop side of the equation than the shoegazer quotient though. Catchy and effervescent nevertheless.
Favorite track: Looking Through You.

Clever, dreamy, wistful, this album has it all. The songs are brilliantly crafted and very distinguishable from each other, while still maintaining cohesiveness. They strike a good balance between more poppy, catchy songs, and those with emphasis on atmosphere. harrug
